Continuing from the the last minutes of the previous episode, Tsuyoshi is banished to the pocket dimension again. Sonoshi introduces their comrades and declares that the Council has branded Sonoi, Sonoza, and Sononi as traitors of the Noto and that they must be executed. They fire a barrage of powerful beams while the Donbrothers and the Noto Trio dodge them.
Amazing episode! Having gained an interest in all things Byzantium, after reading the John Julius Norwich trilogy many years ago, I think that this podcast is gaining in strength all the time. I have never understood why an historical character such as Heraclius has never generated more interest from historians and/or novelists. As a side note I took my family to Ravenna last year, as part of a family holiday to Italy, and even my teenage daughters were visibly impressed by the Byzantine mosaics on show there. The place is amazing. Thank you for a wonderful podcast!

The episode opens with Inuyasha and Kagome riding Shippo and Towa, Setsuna, Moroha and Riku riding Takechiyo, all in pursuit of the Grim Butterfly. Seeing that the Grim Butterfly is about to attack Mamidaira Island, the group intervenes, saving Hachiemon, Kikunosuke, and the rest of the tanuki clan from being purified. Towa, Setsuna, Moroha and Riku then are allowed passage into the Grim Butterfly while Inuyasha and Kagome are denied entry; the two, Takechiyo and Hachi then decide to rally a group to quarantine the Grim Butterfly and forestall its rampage.
In this episode of Behind-the-Scene @NTSB, Chair Jennifer Homendy reflects on her NTSB journey so far, her transition from Board Member to Chair, and talks about our Most Wanted List of transportation safety improvements, the Safe System Approach, and what she hopes to see accomplished to improve transportation safety as head of the agency.
It seems as if, from the ending scene and the fragmans for episode 47, that Eda and Serkan are well on the way to reconciling. This is great news as it means we will have lots of episode time to spend on wrapping up their storyline. Too many other diziler have had very rushed final episodes so I am very glad that it looks like we will get to spend several episodes with Eda and Serkan being happy together with Kiraz. It will be interesting to see if they give us an epilogue showing their future.

Spotify just released the last episode of the Barack Obama and Bruce Springsteen podcast. To discuss, Chris Redd comes out as Obama and Beck Bennett delivers an, uh, interesting take on the Boss. Redd follows Fred Armisen and Jay Pharoah (classic) playing the 44th president. Springsteen has appeared as a musical guest several times on SNL and has also been impersonated multiple times, by the likes of Gary Kroeger (yet another callback to December's episode!), Adam Sandler, Will Forte, and Ben Stiller. The joke here is how scripted and banal both men are.
In this episode, we speak with Jack Basso, Chair of the Mileage-Based User Fee Alliance, about sources of highway funding, what the change in administration might mean for efforts to move toward a mileage-based user fee system, and the role DMVs may play in making this change.
