Skyrim Civil War 3rd Option Mod \/\/TOP\\\\
On May 6th 2020, Apollowdown made a Reddit post on r/skyrimmods announcing that he was allowing Civil War Overhaul to be put back on the Nexus and released the source code allowing anyone to work on the mod picking up from where he left on. There are currently Special Edition and Legendary Edition ports of the mod's Redux that is in beta and patching bugs left over from the original version of the mod.
skyrim civil war 3rd option mod
While playing Skyrim and wondering which side in the civil war is closer to your heart, have you ever concluded that you don't identify with any of them and would rather lead your own faction that represents your ideals? If so, you are about to get the opportunity to realize that vision thanks to a modification called Conquest of Skyrim.
Conquest of Skyrim is supposed to offer quite a lot of options. Our faction will be able to include any character, depending on our preferences. We'll get the option to lead soldiers living off the work of subordinate peasants, a small group of hunters or bandits mercilessly attacking caravans and robbing law-abiding citizens.
When you feel confident enough, you can even challenge the Empire and the Stormcloaks to a war for dominance over Skyrim. There will be an option to conquer more villages, towns, hideouts and forts. However, this is not the end. To maintain control over a domain, it will be necessary to properly manage and satisfy the basic needs of the subjects. They will return the favor with supplies (especially food), enabling us to maintain the faction and the army.
Welcome to the 19th century: The American colonies have revolted, gained their independence and they are now nations, the Natives have resisted colonization and struggle to keep their identities, the ancient Asian civilizations are now an active part of the world scenario and have to play their cards right to protect themselves, and in the Balkans, people fight for their independence from once powerful empires. There was one spot on Earth, however, that was ignored for a long time... We're at the modern era and all empires have focused their attention on this long forgotten, but now desirable, region.
Dawn of the Tiberium Age (DTA) is a stand-alone mod that combines Tiberian Dawn (C&C 95) and Red Alert. While classic mode gets as close to the original game-play and balance as possible, Enhanced mode provides improved game balance and a lot of fun new stuff. DTA features many customization options for Skirmish and multiplayer (where you can play as GDI, Nod, Allies and Soviet on over 100 maps), challenging original singleplayer missions, as well as co-op missions. Since this is a stand-alone mod, you don't require anything but the mod itself to be able to play: the original game is not required.
3) Download and install SkyUI. As mod itself, SkyUI is basically a "PCfication" of ugly vanilla Skyrim interface. On practice, it's also required by most of well-known mods in addition to SKSE. Also install this fix for it, this ==NEW== (get the ESP version), this ==NEW== and this. Optionally (but very recommended as it's just looks so much more alive and beautiful) install animated icons mod for it (make sure to choose "Celtic" icons type in SkyUI MCM for this mod to work). Also optionally, install this "wider" addon for MCM look. Also install iHUD.
11) Install [ONE] of these mods: - Alternate Start - Live Another Life Install the voiceover addon ==NEW== on top of the main mod (+ optional addons here , here, here ==NEW== or here ==NEW==). - Skyrim Unbound Reborn - RASR - Random Alternate Start Reborn - Realm of Lorkhan - Freeform Alternate Start - Optional Quick Start ==NEW== Why you need this? These mods provide wide amount of alternative starts to the game for those who do not wish to go through the lengthy intro sequence at Helgen. The thing is that vanilla start (scene in Helgen) is VERY heavy-scripted. And when you will install let's say, 200+ mods and start a new game, your Skyrim will be very heavy overloaded. And there's very high chance that your game will crash (because the Papyrus, Skyrim's script engine, was [not] updated in SE and it's same clunky and limited), even if the game itself is absolutely stable. And now these mods save the day! You can just skip this heavy-scripted scene and start anywhere you like. Besides, they have a really wide amount of alternative start, great for roleplay. Which one to use, what is the difference? Long story short, ASLAL provides more "roleplay-wise" starts - you will appear in a certain cell, depending on your start option choice, and also has plenty of additional start options addons. Unbound will spawn you randomly, so less "immersive" start, but it allows you highly adjustable character customization (gear, spells etc) which ASLAL doesn't, and the most important - it allows you to play as NON-Dragonborn (but you can "become" it in MCM anytime), which is really a great option. RASR is somewhat like a mix of these two, a pretty underrated gem and Realm of Lorkhan is a really fresh and unique alternate start mod, which may look note quite "lore-friendly" to some players, but it's really well-designed and give you very interesting starting choices for your character class and even curses - negative attributes to balance class bonuses (if you want so, all these features are entirely optional - my only 2 cents about it is that some class bonuses are still somewhat too strong even with curses, so you may want to adjust them in SSEEdit, which is very simple). Lastly, Realm of Lorkhan has on pretty immersion-breaking (for some players) thing - crystals you appear from after starting the game are not going anywhere and are just scattared across Skyrim. To remove them, use this patch. Also, make sure to install this fix. Optional Quick Start is a super-simple alternative, which is not quite "alternate start" mod, but rather "skip Helgen into" one.
12) Get the Cathedral Assets Optimizer This step is optional. Easy-to-use tool to convert meshes/textures from LE to SE (and backwards as well). This tool will help you to have the best from both game version in terms of such kind of mods.
Also, as Skyrim SE itself requires at least somewhat decent rig to run it without issues, the overall performance impact scatter of graphics mods is different from Skyrim LE, and if you can run Skyrim SE on max settings without issues, you will be able to run most of texture/mesh mods without issues as well, so there is no need for "green-yellow-red" marking system as for Skyrim LE. Still, some mods have pretty "different" level of quality or some other details that may impact performance greatly on weaker PCs, and such mods will be marked with a special ==FPS== mark. This does NOT mean such mods will destroy your performance if you don't have "NASA PC" - but it means you should install such mods carefully (basically, testing ingame performance after such mod installation) even on strong rigs, and avoid certain options or mods entirely on weak rigs.
Enhanced Lights and FX The well-deserved most endorsed lighting mod of all times. A complete overhaul to vanilla lighting while keeping it simple and not going away from original look. Better lighting. New light sources where needed. More realistic lighting in dungeons and other interiors. Huge coverage. Best support from the side of ENB presets. Everything is here. Personal recommendation - if you're aimed on a heavy mod list, choose only the core mod itself and enhancer option (and ofc SMIM-related option) - don't choose exteriors option. And don't use ELFX weathers module - it's not compatible with other weather mods and almost not supported by ENB presets. Choose "no [vanilla player home name]" or "no player homes" if you are planning to use mods that overhaul vanilla player home/s. Lastly, do NOT overwrite Rugnarok, Rocks/Mountains, Realistic Water Two, Pfuscher's mines and Rudy's nordic mods meshes. It also has plenty of addons to improve it/make more compatible. This patch plus this patch and this one are [absolutely essential]. Also recommended to get this one ==NEW==. This one and this one are very much recommended as well. This mod has some patches for mods you may possibly have. If you're using ELFX hardcore module and ASLAL, this will be useful. Lastly, there's a fresh and impressive ELFX Shadows ==NEW== addon that drastically improves shadows and lighting effects further. Also grab a Hearthfire addon and take a look on various patches. Note: if you'll be using ELFX Shadows, this, this and this patches are not needed - don't use them or remove them if they're already installed.
Ambiance - A Vanilla(plus) Ambient Lighting Overhaul A vanilla+ lighting mod which recalibrates ambient lighting adhering to vanilla colors and creating a balance between stealth gameplay and looks. Can be used alone instead of major lighting mods, but also can be used together with the next mods: ELFX (without Enhancer option), Relighting Skyrim and Windows Shadows.
All the mods in this section are optional. They transform the landscapes of Skyrim in this or that way - adds or remove trees, making wilderness more dense or barren, change the look of terrain, roads, bridges, or just completely transforming Skyrim into something new - with spring, summer or purely winter region. Choose and use what you personally like :)
Skyrim Bridges My favourite bridge mod. Gives an overhaul to close to every bridge in Skyrim, making them look really unique and immersive. Do NOT use together with the mod below, choose one or another. Also (optionally) install this improvement patch (it's somewhat subjective, imo, hence "optionally").
Flower Fields Pretty much self-explanatory name. Adds vibrant, beautiful flower fields here and there. May be not much immersive in some cases, but a great option for anyone who wanna give Skyrim a bit more fresh, spring touch.
More enemies, more sudden encounters, more civil war battles, more neutral NPCs as well. Please remember: big amount of population mods together with heavy-modded gameplay setup may overload your game and cause instability and script lags. To avoid this - install population mods one by one and check your performance ingame, testing affected areas like cities, forts or faction battles.
